• Copy Editing: For authors with a manuscript ready for the final stages of editing, I will review your text with an emphasis on spelling, grammar, syntax, and conventions that will match your personal writing style. 
  • Includes one initial face-to-face conversation (15-30 minutes)
  • $10/1,000 words
• Line Editing: For authors with a nearly finished manuscript looking to polish up the rough edges, I will review your text line by line with an emphasis on your use of language (style, tone, etc.) as well as transitions and flow of ideas to ensure that you convey all that you desire to your reader. In addition to in-text edits, you will receive a complete feedback document that includes chapter-by-chapter commentary. 
  • Includes one initial (15-30 minutes) and one follow-up (30-60 minutes) face-to-face conversation
  • $20/1,000 words
• Structural/Developmental Editing: For authors with the next great idea who need someone knowledgeable to bounce ideas off of as they get started, as well as those with a manuscript in process, I will spend time getting to know you and your story in order to support its development along the way. I will focus on elements such as setting, plot, character development, pacing and momentum, and accessibility to your target audience as I provide chapter-by-chapter analysis and feedback. In addition to in-text commentary, you will receive a complete feedback document focusing on each of the story elements mentioned above, organized by chapter. 
  • Includes up to three face-to-face conversations (45-60 minutes)
  • $25/1,000 words
• Beta Reader: For authors with a complete or near-complete manuscript needing a critical eye and honest feedback from someone knowledgeable and outside your circle of friends and family, I will provide chapter-by-chapter analysis and commentary focused on helping you identify trouble spots, iron out kinks, and think about your story in new ways. You will receive a complete feedback document that provides detailed commentary for each chapter with questions and suggestions for you to consider as you return to your next level of manuscript revisions.
